UPDATED/ help! iphone applications

6/19 update: Guess what. A couple days of searching, and I finally found the answer.

The apps are all there.

They are screens to the right after a screen containing only one icon. Poor implementation. Yea for no further major annoyance. Boy, was I missing some of my apps!

Rearrangement in my future.

------------
I've updated my iphone to 3.0. And synched it; a couple of times now. My music has transferred to the phone, and my contacts. But not my applications! I've checked the tabs in itunes; all the right stuff is marked for synching.

How do I get my applications back?

Secret clues much appreciated!!

ARe they updated to 3.0 already? Are they all 3.0 compatible?

I read online somewhere right before the update that it might happen that aps would need some special treatment, but I didn't focus on it. I don't think it's a compatability issue generally (though I imagine some new iphone features won't be supported in many apps).

Oh, well, I've gotten notices from several apps I use that their 3.0 updates aren't ready, so they're not installing on 3.0.

huh. that implies you got some to install. how did you even try? I haven't seen any error messages.

No, I'm not installing the 3.0 update, *because* I know that some apps won't work/aren't compatible. I'm waiting for the 3.0 updates to be released. The problem is that Apple has a backlog of 3.0 updates to review and release in the App Store, so the wait's up to 2 weeks, or something.

By "got some notices" I mean, "The newsletters/websites/Twitterfeeds of many apps I use have information about 3.0 update not being available". I don't mean I installed and got an error message.
