Catching up
Mar. 8th, 2005 09:17 amI think I will have time to actually post today.
I took (had to take) two weeks off for diability, due to tendonitis. It was not fun. I also had a cold the first week, so at least good timing on that. But working with worker's comp has been every bit of bureacratic hell one might imagine. I now have to fill out a what I do physically form (for my boss). I don't think desk work was really considered when they wrote up this survey... Thursday I have my next doctor check-in; I hope he/she will advocate for more physical therapy for me. There were a few excellent days off... I went hiking a bit in Big Sur in the rain with Rod, went by myself to a more local area. Weekends have been fun; wine tasting a couple times in a couple different ways, and more. Had a good time with Wyatt, Tina, and Thomas this past Sunday at the Santa Cruz flea market, and at lunch.
That said, the weather has been so nice the last few days that I had to ride my motorcycle today. Yeah it maybe strained my arms a little, but it felt great otherwise. :-) It had been a month since I'd ridden; the bike took awhile to warm up, which is pretty normal. I'm looking forward to running around this afternoon.
It is gonna be a hectic day. I have spearker's training at the DeFrank today. I'd also like to get SCCLA's protocol (list of who's walking and in what order) done for the IRLM's Coronation. I think this year's Coronation is going to be a lot of fun, which is a new thing to think. ;-) I generally essentially tolerate the events. But, hey it's my friends this year! lol And of course, with them, there's more real costuming going on.
I may be a fire eater or sword swallower or ring master, depending somewhat on whether or not Wyatt is Tigger. And if I can find some sticks to make fire wands out of in the next few days... I figure a loose shirt, vest, pants, and waist sash works for the sword or fire consuming bits.
I did discover, after two weeks off, that I seriously need to find a new job. So, I've set craigslist up to send me digests on writing jobs and such. And am telling everyone I know. Need a technical writer? :-)
