NYC trip highlights

I spent a long weekend in New York, with my semi-native guide (Nick; the trip came about due to a proposed business meeting and evolved into a little vacation... I was able to tag it onto the long Independence Day weekend, which gave me a week and a half off!). I discovered once I was there that simply as an American, I had sure heard of a lot of places! And knew almost nothing really. ;-) Here are a scattering of highlights, in no particular order. :-)

SCCLA Leather Picnic this Saturday!

Make sure to RSVP to get directions to our new, more secluded location!
Grill and chill with the Santa Clara County Association's at our
fourth annual Leather Community picnic.

Date: Saturday, July 15, 2006
Time: 11a.m. - 4 p.m.
Cost: Free (there is a $5/car parking fee charged by the park)

The Santa Clara County Leather Association is pleased to invite the
South and East Bay and friends Leather/BDSM community to our
fourth annual day of laid-back fun and connection in the park.

The event is free, the site is shaded, and the energy will be high!
The aim of this picnic is to build community. It is not an event for kids.
Parking is limited, so carpooling is a very good idea.
Our new location is much more woodsy and private.

Food!
 - Bring your own main course. We will have a big barbecue pit, so you are
welcome to grill.  Bring your eating utensils.
- Bring something to share as well.

Activities!
Leather men and women will be caught:
blowing bubbles, wearing wet underware and t-shirts, throwing
frisbees, napping, getting a massage, flirting, eating, drinking...

Get involved!
- Every group is welcome to bring an information flyer about themselves.
- Lead an activity/game! Let us know what you plan on doing.
- Bring a nonperishable food contribution for our food drive.
